Val Hincapie

Choosing this major was one of the easiest decisions I had to make. It took me one easy search on the MSU site to realize product design was the thing I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

I was completely clueless of what I wanted to major in, so while I was visiting campus I decided to see what fine arts majors did Montclair offer. Eventually I found the PRDN page and I was completely hooked. I saw how the major helped innovate the future and required a bunch of creative expression. This was exactly what I was looking for.

I immediately emailed my advisor at the time and Dr. Feigler to make me part of the major. Feigler did everything in his power to include me into the major.

Now I’m going into my sophomore year of college and not once I doubt my decision. Besides an experienced and professional staff, the other students that are part of the major truly feel like a family to me.
