I chose product design as a major as It fitted right in place with my interests that I had ever since I was in middle school but on a more technical level. I had an attraction to furniture, clothing and graphic design so product design just fits right in place with what I want to pursue in the field of engineering.

During my time in this major I developed a better understanding of what design can really do to improve human interaction and technical engineering outside of just aesthetics. It also introduced a wider perspective of design philosophy with courses such as Design Thinking and Form Language that aids in thinking how to innovate and design everyday products that work with the user seamlessly and efficiently.

These lessons are only accessible through MSU and it would be devastating to not only students, but for the future of technology with having little to no lessons of empathy and understanding of modern design.
