When I was looking at possible majors, not a lot of them piqued my interest. A few hours of research later I discovered Product/Industrial Design. It combines a few of my interests like model making and sketching, and you get to design real objects that can improve the world around you.
MSU has one of the highest-rated product design programs in the state and seemed like a great choice for me. Learning at MSU has given me a lot of experience in the field of product design, whether it's doing semester-long projects during class or gaining hands-on experience working in collaboration with multiple professional companies. Each professor in the program has their own specialties that have helped me to become a more well-rounded designer, and every project I have been given not only mimics what I would be working on after I graduate but also gives me a chance to improve my skills.
